Jainism
Jainism is the name given to the religious movement of the Jains, whose community follows the religious path established by Vardhaman Mahavira, a prophet also known as the Jina or Victor. Born in Northern Bihar, Mahavira is alleged to have preached in the 6th century BC.

It is well known that Bhagwan Mahaveer did not found a new religion.. He got the heritage from the previous Tirthankaras. Parsva was his immediate predecessor. Bhagwan Mahaveer had great respect for him. It is also recorded that the parents of Mahaveer were the Parsva's followers.
Lord Mahavir
Lord Mahavir was the twenty-fourth and the last Tirthankara of the Jain religion. Tirthankaras were human beings who have attained a state of perfection or enlightenment through meditation and self realization. They are the Gods of Jains.
